Black Pearls set for Masters

THE TST Group of Companies through its subsidiary company, Kokoda Tailoring yesterday dressed up the PNG Black Pearl netball team for the upcoming World Masters Games in Sydney, Australia from Oct 10-18.
Comprised of players in the Public Servants Netball competition in Port Moresby, the team will be out to stamp their mark on the international scene in their new-look uniforms courtesy of the tailoring.
Kokoda Tailoring production manager Florence Romasanta said his company spent K4,000 to produce the uniform for the Black Pearl team, and was glad to assist them.
Romasanta presented the netball bibs and the walk-out uniform to the team at a brief presentation ceremony in Port Moresby  yesterday.
Captain Melveen Raga said the most of the players were experienced having played in the Pan Pacific Masters in the Gold Coast, Australia, and would ready for the Masters.
The team boosted with the presence of two former international players in Mary Pala-Linge and Gillian Ole.
The full team is as follows: Pau Kagena, Iramo Raula, Rose Duwaba, Vaine Watson, Margaret Ningis, Mabel Pepena, Lillian Yaruso, Rachael Abore, Soi Asi, Heano Guria, Mera, Ralai Benedict (coach and player), Melveen Raga (captain) and Oti Sarufa.
