BMOBILE-Vodafone has launched an international roaming bundle for just under K20 for three days for its subscribers.
The product is aimed at Papua New Guineans who travel overseas to make it possible for them to keep in touch with their families back home.
Chief marketing officer Parag Panjwani said yesterday that with the K20 subscribers would subscribe to prepaid services for 10 minutes free call to PNG, 10 free SMS to PNG and 10 megabytes valid for three days only. “The international bundle is a new product that we have launched and is used only in Australia, New Zealand and the Solomon Islands,” Panjwani said.
He added the company chose the product to be launched in those three countries due to a continuous survey they had monitored in their system when their network users travelled overseas.
“We realised about 90 per cent of the local Papua New Guineans that are subscribed to our network, travel mostly to these destinations for business trips for less than three days and return to PNG. So as a company, we want to help our local travelers stay connected to their home in PNG and be able to speak to their families at an affordable rate for service and money.”
“This bundle targets the growing educated middle class who seek better value for their money,” Panjwani stated.
According to the company, bmobile’s partnership with Vodafone had connected them to the world, making it possible for their post-paid subscribers to stay connected in over 115 countries.
