Bmobile users can now enjoy 4G

BMOBILE says its engineers have completed phase two of the REDiSIM network upgrade which will now enable customers to enjoy 4GLTE speeds.
The company, in a statement, said the upgrade would give bmobile REDiSIM (3G) users access to its 4GLTE network – upgrading them from 3G to 4GLTE connectivity, without having to change their SIM (subscriber identity module) for a bmobile BLUE 4GLTE SIM.
It said the first phase of the upgrade was completed in December, with REDiSIM users in Port Moresby and Lae with 4G-compatible devices, gaining access to bmobile’s 4GLTE network.
Phase two began on Jan 6, with REDiSIM users in regional centres across the country, also gaining access to bmobile’s 4GLTE network, as long as they use a 4G-compatible device.
On Jan 11, the phase of the upgrade from 3G to 4G was completed.
“What this now means for bmobile REDiSIM users nationwide is that as long as they use a 4G-compatible device and are within a bmobile 4GLTE network coverage area, they can enjoy bmobile’s 4GLTE speed.”

  • Its good that the company now upgraded to 4G. However, most Papua New Guineans have not even accessed 3G. We are only observers.
