CONFUSION among teachers and students on who is the legitimate principal of Laloki Secondary School in Central was cleared by the Central provincial education board, provincial education advisor and the Teachers Service Commission last week.
The struggle for the Laloki principal’s position between Sutherland Yore and Martin Seve started six months ago and affected the administration of the school.
Central province education advisor Philip Alu, in a meeting between the teachers, board of management and senior officers from the Teachers Service Commission, said the decision made by the provincial education board, appointed Martin Seve as the gazetted principal of Laloki secondary school.
He warned that decisions made at the top level needed to be adhered to.
Alu also acknowledged contributions by former principal Yore to Laloki, for his efforts to raise the school to secondary level from high school status and called for the school board to work closely with the new principal, staff and students.
Meanwhile, former principal Yore said the problem on the position of the school principal had been resolved and called for teachers to support the new principal.
