Board launches cocoa solar dryer

THE PNG Cocoa board, under its cocoa nursery project management unit, official launched the commissioning of a cocoa solar combination dryer for the Bitavavar farmer group in the Kokopo-Vunamami urban local level government in East New Britain.
The solar dryer was launched at Bitavavar village last week.
PNG Cocoa board chief executive officer Boto Gaupu told the farmers that the cocoa industry is on a crush but he thanked the farmers, both national and provincial governments, as well as the private sector for the ongoing support of the board which boosted the industry in East New Britain.
