Body building associations urged to pay fees
The National, Thursday February 11th, 2016
ALL 12 provincial associations affiliated to the PNG Body Building Federation (PNGBBF) have been reminded by president Cosmas Hannette to pay their outstanding registration fee of K300.
Hannette said according to the federations’ constitution the yearly registration fee of K100 was still outstanding and for the last three years of operation it had accumulated to a total of K300.
Hannette said with the total amount of registration still outstanding none of the 12 associations have renewed their registrations but the federation had been hosting past events and assisting athletes at its own cost.
He said for this year the federation would only assist and invite associations and their athletes who have paid in full the outstanding fee of K300.
In addition, Hannette said all elite athletes who wanted to take part in this year’s events must be registered to their local associations.
He said the federation’s charter would not allow any athlete to compete as an individual but rather as a registered member of an association.
Hannette said the federation would release this year’s calendar of events once the quorum of the associations were registered.
He said for registration the fees are to be deposited directly to the PNG Bodybuilding Federation BSP cheque account number 1000583698.
Hannette said for further clarification, the PNGBBF treasurer Keda Besari could be contacted on 7072 2361.
He said it was important that the associations took heed of this because it was important for their participation.
Body building member associations include : Bougainville, Lihir, East New Britain, West New Britain, Manus, Morobe, Goroka, Jiwaka, Chimbu, Porgera; and Port Moresby.
