He said police suspected foul play but he was waiting for a post-mortem to find out the cause of her death.
The Criminal Investigation Division are working on the case, N”dranou said.
“I want to call on the police officers working under my command and also those who are working outside to be careful with the people you are with.
“Always stay in your house when you are not working because some of the good work that you do to make this country a peaceful place to live are not accepted by some of the people and that create boundaries amongst us the police,” he said.
Chief of forensic science Det Supt Philip Rambaliku confirm that the deceased worked in his directorate under the criminal records section.
She was responsible in doing finger prints and issuing police clearance.
Rambaliku said the division had lost a hard working staff and she was a great loss for the constabulary.
