Boeing 767 undergoes maintenance in China

AIR Niugini says one of its Boeing 767 aircraft is currently undergoing a maintenance check in China which will take several weeks.
Air Niugini said a second Boeing aircraft, unfortunately encountered a bird strike in Brisbane, Australia, on Friday.
It said in a statement the issue was being looked into and the aircraft should be back in service.
“With the two Boeing aircraft out of operation, the Fokker aircraft have now been operating the routes normally operated by the Boeing aircraft, placing a strain on the scheduled Fokker routes.
Hence, there have been disruptions on the domestic flights lately.
“Air Niugini regrets the inconvenience caused and is working to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
“Safety is always of paramount importance in Air Niugini’s operations.”
