Bomana inmates farewell colleague

INMATES at Bomana Prison have farewelled their late colleague Steven Lakau Sapan who collapsed while mowing the lawn at the compound.
Sapan, 57, was from Sari village in Enga. Prison authorities said he was mowing the lawn in the prison compound on May 19 when he collapsed.
He was taken to the Port Moresby General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
He was serving a life sentence for murder. He was admitted to the Bomana prison since 2011.
His family agreed to hold a funeral service at the prison compound to allow inmates to pay their last respects.
