Boom boxes and noisy neighbours

I WRITE in support of the views expressed by an anti-noise neighbour at Rainbow in the letter ‘Noisy neighbours’ on Tuesday.
Noisy nights and noise pollution coming out from musical boom boxes carried around by intoxicated lunatics has become the norm in every urban, settlement and village community in the National Capital District. I also have the same problem in the neighbourhood (village) that I live in where we have music from boom boxes blasting away 24/7 and the perpetrators showing no respect for the members of the community at large. Since there appears to be little or no control to this problem, especially uncontrolled sounds from boom boxes, the authorities should take action and declare boom boxes as prohibited products.
