Boram jail’s food issue

Letters

IT is sad to read on the front page of The National last month that warders at Boram jail sent prisoners home to look for food because there was none at the prison.
I congratulate Inspector Joe Imini for exposing the real situation with the detainees’ food supply at Boram.
It is believed that other prisons in the country are experiencing similar problems but are choosing to remain silent.
It is shameful that the CS headquarters, finance and administration are not doing their job to release the funds on a time to allow the prison administration to buy food.
