Bosconians looking forward to exciting month

THIS month is an exciting time for many Bosconians as it is the month dedicated to St John Bosco, a former student says.
Isabella Saleu, who graduated from Don Bosco Simbu Technical College, last year, said this was the most exciting time of any the year.
“It is the month that is like our second birthday,” she said. Saleu said last year’s celebrations were a wonderful experience.
She said the celebrations included the annual Rector’s Cup at the Don Bosco Simbu Technical College.
“The opening of this event is amazing as there will be a sea of different colours that represent different trades,” Saleu said.
“Our games are called ‘friendly wars’ as friends separate to be in their classes to challenge each other in different sporting codes.”
“Then we have the battle of the bands, where our students showcase their talents in singing, playing instruments and some dancing.”
She said they also held a technical day which included a Cultrual show.
“This is when Bosconians (students) dress in their traditional constumes and perform,” Saleu said.
