Boxing in PNG on right track

I WAS pleased to learn before Christmas of the formation of a PNG Pro Boxing Commission.
Having refereed in Port Moresby two years ago, I was impressed with both the calibre of boxers on the night and also the professionalism and dedication shown by the officials.
If enthusiasm and respect for the sport count for anything, these officials will ensure that boxing in PNG will move forward.
I look forward to reading of the challenges and successes that pro boxing will face in PNG and I have no doubt the people are there for the right reasons.
I would love to referee in PNG again, but more importantly, would welcome the opportunity to assist in any way possible.
I won’t forget the way I was made to feel welcome and it was a privilege to work with such a professional team of officials.
