SOUTH Pacific Brewery is keen to protect and promote the cultures of Papua New Guinea, says islands region sales operations manager Richard Baul.

He said this yesterday in Kokopo when presenting a cheque for K10,000 to the National Mask festival and Warwagira organising committee.

He said SP Brewery believed in creating something special for the future generations to cherish.

“Cultural shows such as the Warwagira and Mask festival is one way the company will continue to protect and promote diverse cultures of this beautiful country,” he said.

Baul said the preservation and promotion of PNG’s diverse cultural values was one of the reasons why the company continued to support cultural shows and festivals in the country.

“The 19th Mask Festival and Warwagira to be held in Kokopo from July 17-22 is no different and we are proud to assist with K10,000 for its successful staging,” Baul said.

He said the company was geared up to work with other major sponsors, tourists and locals.

“It is always an exciting event for the province. While it attracts many visitors from all around the world every year, it remained a special time for the people of East New Britain to nourish themselves with cultural values,” he said.
