SP Brewery has distributed more than 2000 hand sanitizers, masks and Covid-19 awareness materials to bottle shop owners starting in Port Moresby.
Commercial manager Moses Williams distributed the items to a bottle shop owner at Gerehu Stage 3 in Port Moresby yesterday.
He said similar distributions had been made to around 2,000 bottle shop outlets around the country.
“We recognise and appreciate the work of our valued business partners who have implemented health and safety regulations by having a thermometer check, providing hand sanitiser and the entry-by-mask policy in all retail key accounts, on trade outlets, traditional off trade outlets and distributors.”
He said it was important for businesses to continue operation.
“We all play an important role to ensure we assist the Government mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in the community.”
The SP Brewery team also visited Vision City and Stop and Shop at Waigani Central.
“This exercise is important because we need to protect our people. At SP Brewery, our sales force are our front-liners.
“Every day they are exposed to the public when they meet with customers, mixing with the general public,” he said.
Gerehu 24 trading bottle shop owner Tony Phillips said sales had been affected by the two-week lockdown but thanked SP Brewery for the items.
