BRIAN Bell Group chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says the company hopes to get more customers into its new Gordon Shopping Plaza by improving parking and traffic movement.
Mackellar said the new facility continued to go from strength to strength.
There are a few final things to complete at the centre to make it the complete shopping experience.
“By that, we will have completed all of the car park civil works within the next week including brand new line markings and a very easy traffic flow within the whole centre,” he said.
“This will accommodate around 40 per cent more car spaces and ease the burden of parking for all our customers.
“We have also completed a full concrete path or walkway around the perimeter of the property as part of our obligation to council and for those periods where the car park maybe packed and some customers need to park on one of the four access roads outside.
“We hope this will help them come and go and potentially attract even more people to the plaza.”
Mackellar said security had also been increased at every entry and exit points and inside the plaza itself.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience through this period works as it has been delicate to manage while trading,” he said. “As for our 100 per cent tenancy, we have three of the 21 retailers in the final stages of completing their fit-outs and the three remaining will
be ready to open within 10 days.”
