THE Brian Bell Group expects its key capital projects to open for business next month, chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says.
While providing an update on the group, he said the new shopping plaza at Gordon and the Le Hunte apartment block at Ela Beach in downtown Port Moresby were scheduled to open next month.
“We were equally delighted both these significant projects created ongoing job opportunities for many Papua New Guineans external to our business,” he said.
“Both are significant projects which will add to the growth of Brian Bell in years to come.”
Mackellar said the company remained optimistic about its continued growth in the short term and hoped this would be supported by good decision making from the Government on stimulating the economy.
“Lots of people and industries require more support and help to get going again, and that’s where the focus should be,” he said.
Mackellar said Brian Bell like other companies, businesses and organisations had been affected by the Covid-19 restrictions over the past few months.
“Our priority like so many others was to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our team members and customers. We were able to trade in all locations throughout extended restrictions.”
