Concern raised
KABWUM chief executive Fidelis Harrisol is concerned with the lack of public servants in the district and four local level government (LLG) stations to implement government policies. Harrisol said there were many factors like isolation and the absence of essential services like banking and health services, increased transport costs, among others, that dissuade public servants from wanting to work in remote LLGs. He, however, alluded that one significant factor was the freezing of recruitment for public servants by the Department of Personnel Management, thereby affecting the implementation of services.
