Coffee villages
VILLAGES in Leron Wantoat and Umi Atzera in Markham, Morobe, and the Nahurawa LLG of Raicost in Madang are engaging in coffee production. Agriculture extension officer Archie Luther said the people of Wamunde in Raicost, Maraboi and Awara villages in Markham would go into large scale coffee production.

Education exhibit
THE Morobe education division will be hosting a secondary schools exhibition to promote unity among students. The two-day event will take place at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium on June 27 and 28.

Transport deal
People in the remote areas of Enga will now have access to air transport at an affordable price. This follows a partnership between the Mission Aviation Fellowship and Barrick Niugini Ltd.

Thief caught
AN employee of a firm in Lae was apprehended last Friday for stealing copper wires. According to police, the man from East Sepik was charged with stealing and was expected to appear in court.
Unlicensed driver
AN unlicensed driver hit a woman causing her death in Lae on Sunday. According to police, the truck driver is in police custody.

Funds distributed
SUMKAR began distributing K580,000 in school fees to its 194 students in tertiary institutions. MP Chris Nangoi made sure some of the 51 students attending the Madang Teachers College continued their education.
