Fighting TB
LAE business houses are fighting tuberculosis (TB) in the workplace by introducing TB wardens, according to Business for Health (B4H). B4H project manager Dr Ann Clarke said Morobe had 7,000 TB cases in 2017. She said Lae was the manufacturing hub and PNG’s second largest city, hence the initiative was as important.

Webster praised
THE Bougainville Referendum Commission (BRC) acknowledges Commissioner Dr Thomas Webster’s Queen’s Birthday award of Commander of the British Empire. Chief Referendum Officer Mauricio Claudio said the BRC was fortunate to have the services of a well-regarded international chair Bertie Ahearn and six highly regarded commissioners.

Three-month target
