Church raises K15,000
THE BETHEL Lutheran Church at West Taraka in Lae raised K15,000 during a thanksgiving ceremony last Sunday. The money will be used for church programmes and activities.

40th anniversary
THE Nazarene church in Chimbu will celebrate its 40th anniversary in Kundiawa on Monday. American missionary couple Neville and Joyce Burtle arrived in the province and settled in Kundiawa 40 years ago.

Peace important
PEACE and harmony will allow a smooth flow of service and development in rural communities, according to Eastern Highlands Governor Peter Numu. Numu said this during the opening the church partnership programme forum in Goroka.

Forum held in Gka
The church partnership forum is a biannual event with the theme “Enhancing partnerships, crafting the way forward”. It was held in Goroka this week. It includes seven mainline churches: Anglican, Catholic, Seventh-day Adventist, Salvation Army, Baptist, Evangelical Lutheran and United.
