Funds for churches
CHURCHES in Namatanai, New Ireland, will each receive K10,000 every year. Namatanai MP Walter Schnaubelt and Forestry Minister told the United church women’s fellowship convention at Kimadan that the district had allocated K5 million over five years.

Priest returns home
FR Peter Kim, the spiritual director of three parishes in the Kundiawa diocese in Gumine, Chimbu, left the country on Nov 10 to spend time with his family in South Korea. He will be away for a year.

First crusade
A CHURCH ministry established in 2014 held its first national crusade at in Western Highlands last week. Founder Israel John Pundi, said he saw the need for churches to come together to help youths.

Church gets funding
MEMBERS of the Catholic church at Saidor station in Madang will receive K100,000 and a set of musical instruments from Madang Governor Peter Yama.

Fasting declared
MEMBERS of the Pentecostal churches have declared 21 days of fasting and prayers for issues affecting the country and for a peaceful 2022 general election. Christian Apostolic Fellowship general-superintendent Ps Tom Watinga said the country had been through tough times and people must go to God and repent.

Travelling for synod
MORE than 20 women from the Kerowagi town Lutheran Church parish in Chimbu will travel to Port Moresby to attend the 33rd national Lutheran synod next year.
