Call to review benefits deal
THE Government has been called upon by landowners of the PNG LNG project in Hela to review the licence-based benefits sharing agreement (LBBSA). Gas field landowners of petroleum development licence (PDL) 1, 7 and Juha through – their mouthpiece Gigira Laitepo Palamanda Association – said the Government must review the LBBSA as well as the memorandum-of-agreement on gas to electricity. Association chairman Tuguyawini Libe Parindali said delay tactics and practices warranted a review of both the LBBSA and the MoA.
