Brothers edge PX in v’ball comp

WEST Brothers put on a brilliant performance to beat PX 3-2 in the Mahuru Iokea Volleyball Association competition at the weekend.
It was an entertaining match from both sides displaying an array of top spikes and solid blocks to keep the fans on their feet.
But in the end, it came down to the team that capitalised on the other’s errors to run away victorious.
Brothers’ big guns Max Aisi, Joe Nelson, James Pascoe, Danny and David Peter bombarded the PX side with big blows.
But PX were up to the task with Ian Wari, Proki Robin, Sepoe Ovasuru Jr, Newman and Lambert Kawas blocking off every missile that came their way.
In the other men’s games, CP Stripes beat Hunters 3-1, Pitt Vipers defeated Brossy Hoods 3-0, Black Scorpions stung Besties 3-2 and Jrox belted Corner Squad 3-0.
In the women’s games, Black Scorpions stung Besties 3-0, Brossy Hoods thrashed Pitt Vipers 3-0, West Brothers beat PX 3-1, Corner Squad defeat Jrox 3-1 and CP Stripes edged Hunters 3-2.
