Brothers look to lord it over Paga in PRL

THE Port Moresby Rugby league’s top two sides Brothers and Paga Panthers clash in an interesting fixture tomorrow at the NFS.
Brothers coach Leonard Takel said his side were feeling confident with six wins on the trot and would be looking to stretch that streak to seven against the Panthers, who are missing several senior players including playmaker Roger Laka on Digicel Cup duty.
The brethren’s pack led by Solomon Bire will look to give their backs front-foot ball to continue their purple patch.
“We’ve won six in a row so I think there’s good confidence here and we can win,” Takel said.
In the women’s competition the Panthers feature again this against the Sisters. The Panthers are unbeaten and will look to add the Sisters to their bag of scalps.
Panthers stars Janet Michael and Vanessa Palme are expected to play a big part in their side’s fortunes while the Sisters need prop Brenda Goro to inspire them to cause an upset.
