BROTHERS rugby league club officials cannot believe the ruling by the Port Moresby Rugby Football League (POMRFL) judiciary to penalise them for the grand-final being abandoned.

Brothers president Sebby Lume said his players did nothing to cause the game to stop and they never abandoned the match.

“It was the Tarangau players that walked off after they disputed the referee’s decision and despite calls for them to come back they didn’t,” he said.

“As far as we know we were leading 14-10 at the time and with just over two minutes to go, should have been awarded the game to be fair,” he said.
