BSP acknowledges long-serving employees

BANK South Pacific (BSP) Financial Ltd Group has acknowledged the employees who have been with BSP for 25 years and 40 years respectively.
Chairman Sir Kostas Constantinou said it was important to acknowledge these people who had been with the bank for so many years.
In Port Moresby on Saturday, four employees were awarded the 40-year long service awards while 23 employees were awarded the 25-year long service award.
Many of them were with the bank during its PNG Banking Corporation days and acknowledged BSP for its corporate and community values.
They acknowledged the banks values of integrity, professionalism, leadership, quality, people, teamwork and community.
Many have also acknowledged the company for its home ownership schemes.
Maudy Ruruga, deputy branch manager for Popondetta branch, joined the bank in 1981 at its Port Moresby branch as a keyboard operator, and has been in Popondetta, Kainantu, Tabubil and now deputy branch manager in Popondetta. “It means a lot and I do not think I would have come this far,” she said.
“The most memorable experience was the merger of PNG Banking Corporation with BSP and how things have changed rapidly not just the name change but the working environment. I enjoyed working with BSP and it was through commitment and hard work.”
