BSP appoints new chief risk officer

 HAROON Ali has been appointed the chief risk officer for the Bank South Pacific Group to replace Robin Fleming.

Fleming is now the chief executive officer.

Ali who lives in Suva, Fiji, has more than three decades of banking experience including retail banking, small and medium enterprises, commercial and corporate banking, credit and operational risk, international trade finance and operations.

He joined BSP as chief risk officer in Fiji three years ago after working at the ANZ Bank in Suva. 

Ali, who holds a Master’s degree in strategic management, is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Banking and Finance and the Financial Services Institute of Australia.
