BSP fields four teams in touch footy meet

Briefs, Sports

THE Bank South Pacific will be fielding four teams in the four divisions of the Corporate Touch Port Moresby tournament this year. BSP has been involved in the competition for the past six years and this year, with 14 players in each division, the bank will have 56 players participating in the competition.
Senior team member from BSP’s security administration Margaret Gore said touch football was very much a family-orientated sport which encouraged everyone to participate, including children, fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers.
The BSP teams are  made up of not only its employees, but also a number of supporters.
BSP has a healthy approach to supporting sport, and when BSP staff is involved, the bank will assist.
The bank has a number of players representing PNG at major events such as the Mini Games in Rarotonga, Cooks Islands last year.
