Bank South Pacific (BSP) has continued its platinum sponsorship of K20,000 for the 44th National Game Fishing Titles to be held in the waters off Port Moresby from Friday to April 22.
In addition, BSP will give K100,000 for the first angler that lands a marlin weighing at least 250kg.
Tournament director Mathew Geoghegan thanked BSP for their continued support and sponsorship, and the valued relationship that had been established with the Port Moresby Game Fishing Club since 2002.
“It’s a real pleasure to work with a strong, long-term sponsor who not only puts up as a platinum sponsor, but also strives to maximise the benefits they gain from the sponsorship,” Geoghegan said.
“We commend BSP for supporting the event and look forward to continuing the same relationship into the future.”
Relationship manager, corporate banking, Karai Morea said: “BSP is excited to join this challenge this year and supporting the event encourages growth in tourism, sports and social events in Port Moresby and PNG.
“At BSP, we pride ourselves in supporting the communities we operate in.
“Therefore, BSP is happy once again to be on board as platinum sponsor for this year’s National Game Fishing Titles.
“We pride ourselves in being a good corporate leader in business and team players in sports whilst at the same time being competitive.
“In saying that, I wish the organisers all the best in the tournament and may the best angler win.”
The National Game Fishing Titles has become popular in the South Pacific, attracting anglers from around the country and overseas.
