BSP gives computer to elementary school

Normal, Papua

BANK South Pacific (BSP) has donated a full set of computer to Hohola Demonstration Elementary School last Thursday for its newly built office as part of its community project.
The school office was completed last month and the school board wrote to numerous organisations, including the local MP, but to no avail.
“We are very grateful for this donation from BSP to our 750 students and 18 teachers,” headmistress Anna Aurere said.
She said during the school’s 13 years of existence, they had never received such donation from any organisation.
“We have been turned down on several occasion by the primary school for assistance in typing our students’ worksheets or test papers or even asked to pay for this services,” Mrs Aurere said.
Board chairmanSusuve Sevesoa added that the elementary school moved out of the main Hohola Demonstration Primary School two years ago and had been surviving on fees and project fees alone.
He said they were very thankful to BSP for their recognition to the school.
