BANK South Pacific (BSP) has presented its annual sponsorship support of K30,000 to the PNG Human Resources Institute (PNGHRI) to conduct the annual PNGHRI conference.
BSP’s head of talent management Samuel Kiele said the bank recognised the importance of human resource professionals and the role it played in the sector.
“We understand our role to ensure that the business gets the most out of its employees while at the same time, have a productive, thriving, and engaged workforce,” Kiele said.
“Through networks such as PNGHRI, HR professionals from all sectors including BSP can come together to discuss ways on how we can help each other to better manage people in our organisations.”
PNGHRI council member Melissa Gorogo said: “PNG Human Resources Institute acknowledges the continuous support from Bank South Pacific since 2010.
“The conference will inform the HR fraternity of the internet of things and artificial intelligence and the future of work.”
