BSP installs latest store payment system

BANK South Pacific has introduced the latest point of sale technology at the Boroko Foodworld supermarket to speed up payment transactions.
The latest in internal protocol terminals, the new gadget provides greater efficiency and speed in processing customer payments at supermarkets and merchant outlets.
The new system was launched last week where a BSP officer said the new system was easier to use, had faster transaction approval times and helped merchants speed up check out process.
Lew Kenah, BSP head of channel management and deputy manager retail, said: “The good thing is that it runs on a secured IP link and can approve transactions in a matter of seconds.”
