BANK South Pacific look sharp heading into their clash with QBE Doves in the division one elimination final of the Private Companies Netball Competition at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex on Sunday.
Unlike Doves, the bankers have been in the premier division for some time and are the favourites to win.
The winners advance to the preliminary final against the losers of the match between Moore Printing and Westpac. The loser of the elimination final bow out of the premiership race.
But underdogs Doves have nothing to lose after being elevated to the premier division this season.
BSP, with veteran Renagi Mulina and Jacklyn Hape, are no slouches in the competition.
At goal-attack, Mulina will be looking to set up Hape to pick up the points.
Doves are an unknown quantity and will give their best shot as a genuine contender.
But he pressure will be on them. How they control the momentum and cut down errors will determine how strong they will be on court.
In the major semifinal, reigning champions and minor premiers Moore Printing face Westpac for the right to book the first grand-final spot.
With international Nerrie Adula, Louise Maliaki and veteran Manu Sina, Moore Printing will be tough to overcome.
Westpac lanky shooter Elina Ripason and Jacquelene Kwalu will need to work overtime if they are to come up with a positive result.
