LAST season’s Private Companies Netball Competition (PCNC) grand finalists Moore Printing and Bank South Pacific (BSP) remain unbeaten after claiming wins in round six in Port Moresby yesterday.
Moore Printing beat QBE Doves 18-11 and BSP defeated Kina Bank 21-16 at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex.
Both teams have been consistent since round one and are favourites to make the grand final unless Westpac, Kina Bank and Air Niugini hit a purple patch towards the business end of the season.
Moore Printing and BSP were given a run for their money by QBE Doves and Kina Bank, who both kept the ladder leaders in check throughout their matches.
Moore Printing’s national representative Nerrie Adula had to step up after starting the match poorly.
It was anyone’s game at halftime with Moore Printing holding an 8-5 lead but Adula picked up her game to overrun the opposition.
Moore Printing shooters Clara Scott and Louise Maliaki picked up 14 and four points respectively.
Doves’ Nao Vai and Nape Waka bagged seven and four points respectively.
Meanwhile, BSP shooters Jacklyn Hape and Petrone Leka combined well to record 14 and seven points respectively.
PCNC president Julie Mai says the premier division will heading round seven next week with the competition to go into recess from Dec 15 to Jan 12.
She said the lower divisions completed their round-one matches yesterday and would start the second round next week.
