BANK South Pacific (BSP) Financial Group Limited has partnered Australian National Rugby League (NRL) club Brisbane Broncos in re-launching its financial literacy programme for schools.
Retail banking area manager Dennis Lamus said the partnership was for two years with Broncos legend Sam Thaiday as the brand Ambassador.
In a zoom conference during yesterday’s launching, the Queensland and Kangaroos legend said the Broncos were happy to partner BSP in conducting the programme for Ted Diro Primary School and St Joseph’s International Catholic College students.
“We are a partner of BSP and we’re happy to re-launch the 2021 school banking and BSP financial literacy programme,” Thaiday said
“Together with BSP, we are here to talk to you about the importance of saving your money.”
Lamus said it was an honour to partner the Broncos whose core values were similar to BSP’s especially in the areas of community commitment and education.
“BSP’s partnership with such a reputable club is not only in rugby league but also in business and leadership programmes, which are beneficial to both parties,” he said.
“The partnership is associated with similar core values and community commitment.”
The programme will see Ted Diro’s Grade 3 and the college’s Grade 10 students receive merchandise from BSP and the Broncos.
