TWO schools and three community groups in the National Capital District’s suburb of Kaugere received water purifying kits from Bank South Pacific for participating in the bank’s annual clean-up days.
The Kaugere urban area mothers, Savaka Street – Moresby South youths, Milk Ministry Group, Kaugere Primary School and Kaugere Elementary School all received their kits from BSP.
They were part of thousands nationwide who joined hands to help clean-up their homes, streets, towns and communities during the BSP annual school clean up day on Sept 23 and annual community clean-up day on Sept 24.
The bank has since been rewarding participating groups and schools and will continue delivery of the water purifying kits to others who were yet to get theirs.
BSP Port Moresby branch eco-ambassadors Josephine Naime and Angela Vitou presented the water kits which are simple and easy to use.
“The water kits will ensure members of these schools and groups have access to clean and safe drinking water,” Naime said.
They urged the groups, schools and community to maintain their commitment to keeping their community clean, green and healthy by conducting regular Go Green activities such as clean-ups.
The BSP annual clean-up days are part of a year-round calendar of Go Green activities initiated by the bank to contribute to a better, cleaner, greener
and healthier environment.
