BSP still on top in Private Companies netball comp

Normal, Sports

BANK South Pacific (BSP) consolidated their lead in the premier division of the Private Companies netball competition yesterday after defeating Nambawan Super Limited 20-13 yesterday.
BSP’s ace goal shooter Renagi Mulina was again at her best with young flying centre Gazzy Moka, making their opponents look ordinary.
BSP will now set their focus on continuing their good form to better prepare them to win back the top honors in the premier division this year.
They are now clear leaders in the competition with eight points followed by their rivals Nambawan Super Limited on second spot with six points.
Reigning premiers Westpac led by Mona-Lisa Leka also played a blinder to contributing to a convincing victory over Daltron 27-15.
Fairdeal Liquors and Air Niugini played their hearts out, with the match going right down to the wire. However, Fairdeal had the last laugh after ousting their rivals 21-20 at the final whistle.
Brian Bell led by Caroline Genia continued their winning run this weekend demolishing a luckless Investment Promotion Authority.
The loss will send IPA veteran and former PNG Pepes representative Julian Leka back to the drawing board to polish her girls before they return to the courts next week.
The competition is starting to get tough as it enters midway through the round one with all the teams more hungry to collect two competition points.
