BSP supports soccer club with training gear

A SOCCER club in Port Moresby, made up mostly of unemployed youths and students is thankful to Papua New Guinea’s  largest bank, Bank South Pacific (BSP), for supporting them with T-shirts and balls for training.
The Murat Soccer Club, which has shown great potential participating in the Port Moresby soccer competition, has had a history of producing good players and helping create better citizens.
Murat is named after the St Mathias group of islands in New Ireland province, but players come from all around PNG.
Club vice-president Lynmah Philip, when receiving the T-shirts and balls from BSP, said with the support the club would remain committed towards assisting.
“The support from the bank will certainly help us a lot this season and we appreciate it so much,” Philip said.
BSP said in a statement that it was proud to support youths seek their full potential in soccer and other sports.
“At BSP, we believe that everyone has potential, and as ‘your bank’ we will continue helping our community and our people achieve their goals and ambitions.”
