BSP supports summit
BANK South Pacific says it recognises the importance of small-to-medium enterprises (SME) and is giving K20,000, to be a gold sponsor for the e-commerce SME summit this week.
The event coincides with the APEC Business Advisory Council meeting in Port Moresby from April 24 to 27.
BSP’s manager SME Dennis Konu said: “BSP sees this as an important event for small to medium enterprises, especially for our SME customers.
“We recognise the importance of SMEs in the country and how they contribute to the economy, and supporting this summit will further develop the SME in E-Commerce.
“BSP is a leader in providing e-business solutions such as EFTPoS, secure on-line banking, mobile banking, mobile payments, internet payment gateway and bill pay to small business in PNG.
“We are keen to contribute and look at ways to improve our service offering.”
Executive director of the PNG Business Council Douveri Henao thanked the bank for the financial support.
He thanked BSP’s board chairman Sir Kostas Constantinou and management for the support toward the preparation of the business council.
