Bank South Pacific will continue to expand its ATM and Eftpos network nationwide as part of its commitment to providing cheaper and convenient banking solutions for its customers.
BSP has 226 ATMS and 4812 Eftpos terminals nationwide, by far the largest ATM and Eftpos network in Papua New Guinea.
Albert Burua, BSP Kokopo branch manager reiterated this commitment when he launched another ATM in Kokopo, East New Britain province recently.
In Kokopo alone, three sites were currently under construction and once completed will increase to 15 the number of ATMs in the province.
The new sites are New Kokopo Market, Papindo and Talina Agmark.
There were sites currently under construction as well in Port Moresby, Wabag, and Mt Hagen.
Construction would also take place in Lae, Kimbe and Kavieng in the coming months.
At the launch of an ATM unit at Warangoi, Burua said using an ATM or Eftpos could be cheaper and more convenient.
“BSP encourages customers to use our extensive ATM and Eftpos network and mobile money (SMS banking) for greater convenience and significantly reduced costs, compared to over the counter teller transactions at a branch,” Burua said.
He encouraged customers to plan their banking by thinking about the transactions they needed to make such as transferring money into another account, buying food at the supermarket, getting cash for PMV fares or the fresh food market or topping up phone credits.
“All of these transactions can be completed by using your KunduCard at an Eftpos terminal, ATM or by using your mobile phone,” Burua said.
“BSP ATMs can also accept ANZ Access and Westpac Handy Cards as well as Visa and MasterCard.”
