I WAS a visitor in the city for a few days and I bought betel nuts at the oval, side markets in front of residences, Boroko, Erimart, 6-Mile bus stop and right in front of the Boroko Stop ‘n Shop. The price was K1 for half and K2 or K3 for the full nut, depending on size. I noticed the city is becoming dirty with betel nut stains. I believe betel nut sale is back and it would take long for the trade to return to normal. Everybody in public offices and those driving, walking on the streets and working in private offices are all enjoying their buai.
