Build new NRL stadium in Kalabond

Letters, Normal

I REFER to the proposed site of the PNGRFL bid stadium.
Sir Hubert Murray Stadium is the perfect place to build that stadium.
Port Moresby has accommodation facilities and so forth to accommodate thousands of fans coming to cheer their teams should we succeed in our bid to enter the tough NRL competition.
But my question is do we have all the discipline it takes to control ourselves if our team lose or accept the match officials’ decisions?
I think we have not reach that level yet.
Port Moresby fans are known for jumping all over the perimeter fence and assaulting match officials and players.
In the rugby league world, we are still toddlers.
I have this feeling that some fans may try to assault overseas supporters if the results do not go in our favour outside the stadium or even at the hotels.
To the PNGRFL Bid committee, I suggest an alternate site for the new stadium, the Kalabond Oval in Kokopo, East New Britain.
The people are not only well behaved but also respect other people while the climate in ENB is cool.
