RABIA Bulldogs received a timely boost for the finals with the presentation of new sets of uniform courtesy of 6-Mile-based L&A Construction Company recently.

Bulldogs are one of the eight teams qualified for the finals in the South Settlement Rugby League Off-season competition staged at Bill Skate Oval at Kaugere.

Bulldogs have B and A grade teams that qualified for the semi finals this weekend. The Dogs are minor premiers in the B grade division.

Bulldogs club president Elias Omohae yesterday said L&A Construction had supported the club since 2000.

The Dogs has a good record in the South Settlement Rugby League competition in recent years. At one stage, the B grade entered the three consecutive grand finals, losing the first one while winning the back-to-back final showdown the following years.

Omohae said the A grade team lost in the 2011 grand final to Pythons, however, there had been much improvement to see both teams playing well last year and now in the 2013 season.

Omohae, who is a long-time employee of L&A Construction, said the sponsorship was timely for the boys as they prepared to go to finals.

Senior player Andrew Harry thanked the company for the support.

He commended Sir Luciano Gragnolini and Lady Ni Gragnolini for their continued support to their favourite Bulldogs team.

Sir Luciano said he was happy to support the team and wished them the best in the finals this weekend.

“We have been supporting them for the past 13 years,” he said.
