A BUS driver will appear in court tomorrow to answer charges relating to a sexual assault on an under-age student last week.
Police said the PMV driver was operating in the Port Moresby city area when he and his crew picked up the student last Monday at about 3pm at the Town Bus stop.
They dropped her at Boroko and told her to wait for them.
Police said they picked her up later that afternoon.
The student travelled with them in the bus while they were doing their normal runs.
Later they drove to 9-Mile and asked her to hide in the bus while they went out.
Police said the driver later returned alone and assaulted her.
She was dropped off at Gordon the next morning.
The student reported the assault to her guardians and relatives who confronted the bus driver and took him to the police who locked him up.
He however escaped from the police station but was recaptured the next day.
