THE Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church of Milne Bay established in the 1960s has received a Lucas mill to build pastors’ houses.
The saw mill was donated by a Goroka businessman.
The SDA church in Milne Bay was established in 1961 on Gesila island near the main island of Samarai.
Today it exists in four districts with 42 organised churches and 141 branch churches.
Since the establishment of the church, no proper pastors’ houses and churches had been built.
Their prayers were answered with the donation of the Lucas saw mill.
Once built, the houses would provide proper accommodation for pastors while continuing their work.
