Businessman hopes to help inspire others
SOUTHERN Highland businessman David Pora has opened a new service station at 4-Mile in Lae confident it will inspire people planning to venture into the business world.
“I am confident that my business here will grow and I will provide the opportunity for people living in this area to see what I have done to provide this service and instil in them better approaches to life,” Pora said.
Pora said the service station would be closed on his Sabbath.
“Being a Seventh-day Adventist (church member), the service station will be closed for business every Friday at 6pm to Saturday 6pm,” he said.
He thanked Puma Energy PNG for the support he has had over the years to achieve his dream.
Pora said funds under the small-medium enterprise (SME) provided by the Government for people to start up small businesses should be easily accessible.
“I am appealing to the government to relax some of those funds to help people engage in SMEs and that will make its policy work well,” Pora said.
