Call to arrest ringleaders

Letters

I am one of the victims of a money scheme in Port Moresby.
I am writing on behalf of the 500-plus members, mostly old people.
I am in support of NCD Governor Powes Parkop’s call for all ringleaders of this scheme to be arrested by police.
Imagine 500-plus members contributing K200 in cash to become members.
They then continue to pay K20-K50 daily as processing fees to fast track payments to be processed in the banks to individual accounts.
In some instance, the leaders would ask us members to contribute money to pay for lawyers’ fees, transport fees, fuel, accommodation fees, etc.
Just before Christmas, the leaders said we were going to receive our money of K100,000 in cash.
We were then advised to buy our own envelopes so they could put our money inside.
They are giving us so many excuses up until now.
Some of us have given up and we realise now that this is a fake money scheme.
Kumusi Investment, Batchiba, Justic and Bavana are the groups we invested under.
The leaders of these groups are called principals and they all report to the chairman, a young man from Popondetta, who is the founder of this money scheme.
I ask police to go after the leaders of the groups.
Please arrest all of them and lock them up.
Find a lawyer to take up our case in court and ask them to refund all of our money back.
