Call for youths to read more books

Young people should be reading books and not reading from the internet when it comes to Christian books, says an official.
Emily Lassah, supervisor of Adventist Book Centre (ABC) of Central Papua Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, said books were good for young people.
The ABC hosted its open day on November 3 to sell books to church members and the public at a lower price.
“This is the time that we sell the books which we get from our distributors from Australia at a very low price,” Lassah said.
She said books were important, but unfortunately, young people were not reading books anymore.
“We should be reading more from Godly people who are inspired by the Holy Spirit rather than just reading from the internet,” Lassah said.
“On the internet, anyone can be writing whether they are Godly people or not.” She said they try their best to go from church to church to create awareness on the importance of books.
They also encourage everyone to have a Bible and the books that supported the Bible.
The ABC sells books about young people, families, teenagers, health, children and other books that will help people cope in different situation.
They also sell DVDs and children’s puzzles.
