Call to exempt tax supported

Letters

SUPERANNUATION laws need to be changed in favour of the employees
The call by Nasfund chief executive officer (CEO) Ian Tarutia to exempt tax from members savings need urgent support from everyone – young and old, able and disabled, working, unemployedand the students who will join the workforce shortly.
We talk about politics and argue, swear, post comments left, right, here and there but no one has the time to talk about what is rightfully theirs. Something that they have worked for spanning many years being double taxed.
You simply have no say, but accept whatever is given to you after heavily taxed.
The current taxation laws including the tax on superannuation are totally out dated and needs urgent ratification.
I call on every Papua New Guineans to ask his/her member of parliament to support Tarutia’s call to exempt members from their retirement savings.
I call on everyone reading this letter not to shy away but to share, write support letters and make this call go viral as it will affect you and me.
It has affected thousands of others, it will continue to affect millions of others in future.
We should press hard and support the CEO’s call and have it addressed accordingly by relevant authorities at the earliest possible time.

Kundikai Chief
